OutboardIgnition.com is committed to providing quality marine ignition parts and support. Because many ignition and electrical components can be damaged by incorrect diagnosis, improper installation, wiring defects, grounding issues, or other pre-existing engine problems, all sales are subject to the following terms.
Product Information & Site Content
We make every effort to provide accurate descriptions, application data, and cross-reference information. However, typographical errors, catalog errors, and manufacturer changes may occur. Product appearance may vary from the original component being replaced, and visual differences alone do not indicate that a part is incorrect.
Fitment Responsibility: The purchaser is responsible for verifying part compatibility before placing an order unless OutboardIgnition.com has confirmed compatibility in writing prior to purchase. If you are unsure whether a part is correct for your application, contact us before ordering.
In the event of limited stock, discontinued lines, or manufacturer supply changes, OutboardIgnition.com reserves the right to substitute an item with a comparable part of equal or better quality, function, price, and warranty coverage unless a specific brand requirement is communicated to us before the order is placed.
Exchange & Return Policy
Because we sell sensitive electrical and ignition components, we maintain a strict return policy consistent with industry standards. These parts are not sold for diagnostic trial-and-error use.
- RMA Required: No return will be accepted without a pre-authorized Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number.
- Authorization Window: Requests for exchange must be made within 15 days of receipt unless otherwise stated.
- Condition of Merchandise: Returned items must be unused, uninstalled, unmodified, and in original resalable condition with original packaging.
- Packaging Requirement: Do not write on, mark, tape, or place labels directly on the product box. Damaged or marked packaging may result in refusal or reboxing charges.
- Restocking Fee: A restocking fee of up to 20% may apply on authorized exchanges unless we shipped the wrong item.
- Shipping Charges: Original shipping charges are non-refundable except in cases of verified seller error.
- Special Order Items: Shipping and handling charges on special-order items are non-refundable.
Non-Returnable Situations
- Installed, used, or attempted-to-install ignition and electrical components
- Items damaged by improper installation, incorrect wiring, grounding issues, or external engine conditions
- Items purchased for diagnostic trial-and-error testing
- Items no longer needed, ordered by mistake, or purchased elsewhere after the fact
- Sealed kits once opened, including gasket, seal, carburetor, and fuel pump kits where packaging has been broken
Warranty Policy
All ignition components sold on this website carry a 2-year limited warranty against defects in materials or workmanship, subject to the limitations below.
Any part believed to be defective during the warranty period may require return for inspection and testing. Warranty evaluation does not guarantee replacement. If testing determines the part is functioning properly, testing and return shipping charges may apply.
Improper installation, misdiagnosis, engine-related causes, wiring faults, water intrusion, corrosion, cut or spliced wiring, rodent damage, modification, misuse, abuse, or environmental exposure are not product defects and are not covered by warranty.
- Warranty remedies are limited to repair or replacement at the sole discretion of OutboardIgnition.com and/or the manufacturer.
- Warranty coverage does not extend to labor, towing, diagnostics, loss of use, incidental costs, or consequential damages.
- Extended warranties, where purchased, remain subject to the same limitations and conditions, with only the covered period extended.
- Some manufacturers administer their own warranty process. In such cases, customers may be directed to the manufacturer for final processing.
Order Cancellations
Orders cancelled prior to shipment may be subject to a $10.00 processing fee. Once an order has shipped, it cannot be cancelled and must instead follow the applicable return or exchange procedure if eligible.
