Please read and understand the following VERY closely as we unfortunately must have a VERY strict returns policy since we are dealing with electrical components that can be easily damaged by incorrect installation, and we're sorry, but there will be NO EXCEPTIONS.
While we offer the finest quality outboard boat motor ignition components money can buy, as with any electrical or electronic parts purchased from a retail store, we follow the same industry standards concerning the returns policy. There are only two instances where a part purchased from this website may be returned. (See below).
On occasion, we may run low on or even out of products listed on our website. In these rare instances, Outboardignition.com reserves to the right to substitute the product ordered with an alternative brand of like quality, price, and warranty to fulfill your order. Should you require or desire a specific brand, you must inform us BEFORE the purchase is made.
You MUST have pre authorization and have been issued an RMA number from Outboardignition.com to return anything for any reason. You may call or e-mail us to obtain an RMA number.
Item/s returned should be accompanied with a sales receipt of purchase. (Printed version from web order or sales receipt you received via e-mail)
Only accepted reasons for return:
1. Part you ordered is not correct for your application - or we sent wrong part than was ordered: Understanding that many items we offer may not look exactly the same as the current component you are replacing, you may otherwise return the item/s ordered for exchange only, as we are an "exchange only" merchant, meaning we DO NOT provide refunds except under certain conditions where we do not carry a replacement part. Part/s returned must not have been installed, and in exact resalable condition as received (white box boxed in a brown box). A 20% restock fee will be applied unless we are at fault for shipping an incorrect part other than what you ordered. Shipping will not be refunded under any circumstances unless error was made on our end. Make sure you want what you order. We do not allow reasons of "didn't need it after all" as being acceptable, nor do we allow for "I mistakenly ordered the wrong part from you so I went ahead and bought the correct one elsewhere and now I want a refund" as being at all acceptable for return.
2. Warranty: The parts we offer on this website are intended to be installed by an experienced marine mechanic. By installing the items you order yourself, you are taking the sole responsibility to make sure all components are installed correctly as to not cause damage to new or existing parts on your motor. Any item you order suspected to have problems during it's warranted time frame may be returned freight prepaid for testing. If it is determined that there is nothing wrong with the part, you may be charged for testing labor on each item, plus shipping for returning the part to you. All eligible warranty items will be shipped back to you at no charge.
Extended warranty: Purchased extended warranties are governed by the same limitations following below, except that the purchased warranty extends these conditions for an additional 2 year period producing a total 5 year warranty.
All ignition components listed on this website carry a 3 year limited warranty with the following exclusions:
Parts returned for exchange must be shipped to the following address: (Make sure to include a copy of your invoice!)
For warranty claims, you will need to contact the manufacturer directly as they handle their own warranty claims. Contact us for instructions on how to obtain an warranty return authorization.
Items must be shipped either UPS OR FEDEX ONLY (DO NOT SEND USPS!), and must have RMA number clearly legible on outside of package or package will be refused.
