This stator assembly is built to help the ignition system maintain clean spark delivery by supplying consistent electrical output as the flywheel rotates. This style of stator is also associated with a 9-amp charging configuration, so clean electrical output and connector integrity are especially important. The design priorities are especially important on Force applications where ignition stability depends on clean stator output.
A stator should be diagnosed as part of the complete ignition system so related components are not overlooked.
